Kanway
Line was established on the first of January,
2007. Its predecessor Fuhai Line was started
up in 1994, when China Transportation Service
Ltd. was its general agent for Taiwan, Kanway
Shipping Limited (H.K.) for Hong Kong and
China. As of its establishment, the company
has been providing liner operation between
Taiwan & Hong Kong with trading service
around Taiwan / Hong Kong /South-China for
more than 18 years. In addition, during
2000 to 2002, the company ran liner services
between Far East and South Africa. In view
of the booming economy in China, the company,
in October of 2005, successfully attained
¡§Class-A¡¨ forwarder license in China .
Expansion of its business presence
from Guangdong to other areas of China.
To build brand synergy, the company further
consolidated the names of its affiliates
in China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan under ¡§Kanyway¡¨
as corporate identity, i.e., Kanway International
Co., Ltd. as general agent for Taiwan, Kanway
Shipping Limited for Hong Kong, Shenzhen
Kanway International Co., Ltd. for China.
Meanwhile,
as business became more sophisticated, the
company aggressively extended its business
to logistics, and integrated sea transportation,
customs, and inland services to build ¡§highly
efficient operation mode¡¨ best serving
its customers.
Since 2008, the restrictions
on the ¡§three links¡¨ across the Taiwan
Strait have been loosened. Kanway embraced
the trend by purchasing own vessel, named
¡§KANWAY GLOBAL¡¨, at the end of 2009. Furthermore,
as a goal to pursue excellence in services,
the company successfully obtained business
license for operating seaway direct service
across the Taiwan Strait on the 14th of
December, 2010. In addition, the above said
vessel was granted renewal of business license
for this trade on the 17th August, 2011
